Minister Letsatsi-Duba to host meeting of BRICS Security Ministers

State Security Minister Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba will host a BRICS Security Ministers Meeting on 28-29 June 2018 in Durban.

This meeting is in preparation for the 10th Summit taking place at the Sandton International Convention Centre from 25 to 27 July 2018.

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Senzeni Zokwana and the Western Cape MEC for Economic Opportunities, Alan Winde, will host a BRICS delegation at the Elsenberg Agricultural College on Tuesday 19 June 2018.

The Summit is held under the theme “BRICS in Africa: Collaboration for Inclusive Growth and Shared Prosperity in the 4th Industrial Revolution”.

The Minister of Communications, Ms Nomvula Mokonyane is pleased to announce the media developments of South Africa’s hosting of the 10th Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) Summit to be hosted at the Sandton International Convention Centre from 25-27 July 2018.

Accreditation for the 10th BRICS Summit

Members of the media are invited to apply to be accredited to the 10th BRICS Summit, which will be hosted at the Sandton International Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa, from 25 to 27 July 2018.

South Africa assumed the role of chair of BRICS on 01 January 2018 and will remain in this position until 31 December 2018.

Labour hosts first BRICS Labour and Employment Working Group

The Department of Labour hosts the First Meeting of the BRICS Labour and Employment Working Group (LEWG) from the 7th to the 10th May 2018, in Mbombela, Mpumalanga Province.

BRICS is a platform which brings together Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa where they discuss issues of mutual interest in a rapidly changing global environment.
